{"id":86,"date":"2020-11-01T22:53:09","date_gmt":"2020-11-01T20:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bogasta.com\/blog\/?p=86"},"modified":"2024-01-17T15:36:58","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T13:36:58","slug":"who-would-play-this","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bogasta.com\/blog\/2020\/11\/who-would-play-this\/","title":{"rendered":"Who Would Play This"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I have been thinking about <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamecrafter.com\/contests\/community-anthology-challenge\" target=\"_blank\">Community Anthology Challenge<\/a> at The Game Crafter quite a bit&#8230; but time surely flies (40 days in this case) when you&#8217;re busy advancing other designs. Well&#8230; there&#8217;s still 70 days left to make the magic happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the contest format is two sheets of paper and a predetermined component set, I&#8217;d like to proceed with two designs so that I could use both sides of the two allowed sheets. And I kind of have two concepts I&#8217;m pondering about currently:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"wp-image-87\" style=\"width: 600px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bogasta.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/RacingGame.AbstractGame.small_.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bogasta.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/RacingGame.AbstractGame.small_.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/bogasta.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/RacingGame.AbstractGame.small_-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bogasta.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/RacingGame.AbstractGame.small_-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bogasta.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/RacingGame.AbstractGame.small_-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upper one is a turn-based abstract game in which players try to get rid of their all components. The lower one is a racing game with simultaneous action selection. The problem is that I doubt either of these designs would stand out currently from the flock&#8230; but as a design challenge perhaps they don&#8217;t need to.
